The hotel at first sight was great, your usual Disney themed home away from home, very friendly staff, awesome decorations, and a huge dining facility equipped with many choices! My boys couldn’t decide between hitting the arcade and hitting the pool so we did both, pool first followed by the arcade. The arcade was a little expensive, but so is everything at Disney so we are fairly used to that. The pool was heated, still a little chilly with the wind that day, but manageable (especially for early December!).
Our room was great…we were in the Finding Nemo building, mini fridge, sink, microwave, 2 bathrooms, 3 beds (decent sized) and a great view. Since my husband had to stay behind and work I decided to share a room with my parents (and the boys). We had a queen sized bed in the master bedroom (yes, I really wish it was a king, not going to lie) and 2 double sized pull out beds in the family/living rooms.
The beds weren’t uncomfortable, but they weren’t your usual Disney Resort beds (but I didn’t sleep in the regular bed, just the two pul out beds). Here is my advice, if you are going for a short trip it is definitely worth it to save some $$ and stay at the Art of Animation… (especially if you get the regular bed) but if you are going for a long trip and sharing a room like we did, either opt for two regular rooms instead of the suite or stay at one of the moderate resorts.
