I would be lying if I said that my husband and I don't worry about our second child having autism...I think that is a fear every parent with a child on the spectrum has. However, so far Carter hasn't shown any signs of having any developmental delays other than a speech delay (which he is finally overcoming!!) but I am always "testing him" just to satisfy my own doubts. Today we did an alphabet puzzle and I was amazed that my 3 year old knew almost his entire alphabet. Of course now I am worried that he is going to pass Jaxon on an educational level and how will Jaxon deal with that...oh the joys...hope you enjoy the picture I snapped while we did the puzzle and chatted with Papa!
As a mother of three, I feel like I am getting a second degree in "google researching". I love my children more than life itself but sometimes the nights get longer than the days, and mommy feels a little overwhelmed! However, life is supposed to be about the journey so I will buckle up and enjoy the ride.
