This weekend I took my turn making Saturday Breakfast! Since crepes are Brent’s “thing” I decided to try something different. I decided on banana fosters French toast. I was able to make a few slices gluten free so the whole family enjoyed this amazing meal together! I didn’t have a recipe that I followed, but even though I was “winging it” breakfast turned out fabulous!
Bread (I used the round loaf of Hawaiian bread and sliced it up in large slices)
½ cup milk
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix the eggs, milk and cinnamon and put in a pie plate or deep dish that you can use for dipping your bread in. In the meantime combine the following in a saucepan…
3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
¼ cup milk (you can use orange juice for a little different taste)
Stir until brown sugar is melted and sauce is warm, then add 3 to 4 sliced bananas. Keep warm until you are ready to serve.
